What is the Global Open House Weekend?
This event is a weekend when REALTORS® and agents from around the world are invited to hold open houses in their area. It is designed to drive buyers' attention and interest to homes for sale and offers opportunities to educate the public about the benefits of home ownership.
Who is Participating?
The event began a few years ago on a local level in the United States and has since expanded. In 2011, over 60% of US local and state REALTOR® associations participated in the event, as well as partner associations from around the global.
How Do I Participate?
Plan to join this historic event by scheduling open houses on April 28 and 29. Brokerages are encouraged to rally widespread interest among their agents, to increase the scope and power of the global open house event, and support agents’ efforts with promotional materials, such as hand-out maps of participating open houses.
